FOR THE FIRST TIME AN OFFICIAL ITALIAN AIR FORCE SPEAKER ATTENDED A UFO CONGRESS
During the 8th Edition of the San Marino UFO World Symposium, organized as usual for Italy's Centro Ufologico Nazionale (CUN) by CUN President, Dr. Roberto Pinotti, with the official support of the San Marino Government and Representatives from 17 countries, an Italian Air Force delegate was sent by Italian Government to illustrate the statistical aspect of the UFO cases reported t the Italian Ministry of Defence - in his uniform, Colonel Aldo Olivero, Head of the "Reparto Generale Sicurezza" (General Security Section) of the Italian Air Force, corresponding to USAF's A.T.I.C., admitted the existence of more 200 unexplained reports on file. This impressive event is a result of CUN's positive attitude towards Italian Authrities after 35 years of existence. In 1978 CUN recived officially for the Italian Ministry of Defence the first military dossier of UFO cases in Italy released to civilian UFO researchers.
